Study Purpose & Informed Consent

We are a team of researchers from ETH Zurich, a public research university in Switzerland, investigating how to support users in making more informed decisions about digital credentials.

The EU has proposed the implementation of the EUDI Wallet with which users can send authenticated credentials to websites. This would make it easier for users to provide identifying information about themselves online. We are designing a support system that aims to help users make more informed decisions on whether to provide a credential to a website or not. With this study, we want to gather data to develop and improve the support system. We would like to ask if you are willing to participate in our project. Your participation is voluntary.

You will be asked to imagine that the EUDI Wallet already exists and you own a EUDI Wallet containing your credentials. You will be asked to imagine that different websites are asking you for some of your credentials and you should decide if you would provide those credentials or not.

We will record your answers to the questionnaires. No personally identifiable information about you is recorded. Only anonymized data and aggregated statistics will be published.

All questions in this study are subjective — there are no right or wrong answers. Please answer the questions based on your opinion and experience.
